Patricia Ann (Smith) Johnson

Patricia Ann Johnson, 69, of Shelbyville died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Major Hospital. Born Dec. 31, 1941, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Elbert and Verna I. (Whitaker) Smith. She married James Johnson on Nov. 19, 1965, and he survives. Other survivors include sons, Kyle C. Johnson of Shelbyville and Jeffrey R. Johnson of Sullivan; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Johnson had been employed as a secretary, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 73. Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed old-time movies. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S.
