Patricia A Bird

Patricia A. Bird, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away, Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

She was born March 16, 1935 in Indianapolis to Pearl and Nora (Sullivan) Wilson.  She married James Bird on July 3, 1954 and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2003.

Patricia is survived by her children, Dennis (Joyce) Bird, Wadesville; and Janice (Jerry) Veerkamp, Shelbyville; grandchildren, Cody Veerkamp and Erin Veerkamp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Mike Bird, siblings, Alice Holder, John Wilson, James Wilson, Charles Wilson, Sam Wilson and Edwin Wilson.

She retired from Wellmans with over 25 years of service.

Patricia attended Shelbyville Community Church where she was a greeter.  She enjoyed playing dominoes with the ladies, and also playing different card games.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. August 6, 2018 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mary Popplewell officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
