Ora O Franklin

Ora O. Franklin, 85, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at Waldron Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born May 14, 1928, to Keith Helton and Della (Bailey) Helton in Columbia, Ky.
She married Ray F. Franklin on Oct. 18, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1996.
Survivors include sons: Michael Franklin and fiancée, Karen Campbell, of Shelbyville; and Donald Franklin and wife, Charlene, of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Richard Franklin; five sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Franklin was employed with United Laundry for 20 years.
She was a member of the Kingdom of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks and Sheila J. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Franklin.
