Nona G Blocher, 81 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 03, 2016, at Major Hospital Shelbyville IN Born  March 07, 1935 in Shelbyville, IN, She was the Daughter of James F. Evans and Mae (Richardson) Evans.

Nona married Walter T. Blocher on Friday, June 06, 1958. He preceeded her in death in 1982.

Surviving are daughters Liz (James)Smiley Patty (Frank) Kelley (SonsHarold (Mary) Blocher, Grand Children Andy, Casey, Jessie, Jason, Aric, Cindy and Alshia. 14 Great Grand Children

Nona is preceeded in death by:her  Children Donnie, Mary Tommy and Tony. Sister Arlene Bennett, Brother Albert Evans and Grandchild Jay Anderson,

Nona belonged to Vine Street Methodist Church and Souls Harbor Church of Shelbyville. Nona volunteered at the Salvation Army and she worked for Green Thumb. She loved her cat Smokey and Edna's cat Blacky. She had a love for stuffed animals as well.  She loved to sit and watch the duck's at Kennedy Park. Nona was very thankful for the love and care she received at the Ashford Place.

Visitation will be Thursday May 5, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Murphy Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Shelbyville IN 46176. Funeral Service  will be Friday May 6th 10 a.m Friday at the funeral home with Reverend. Harvey Weaver officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery Shelbyville IN.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in the care of Murphy Parks Funeral Services.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Blocher.
