Nettie Helen Anderson

Nettie Helen Anderson, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Heritage House.

She was born in Adair Co, Ky on July 19, 1927 to Lloyd Corbin and Flossie (Holt) Corbin.

She married Dale Anderson on March 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Bailey, her son, Michael (Linda) Anderson, her daughter, Michaelynn Redd, her son, Robert (Kathy) Anderson, her son, Alan Anderson, and her son, Mark Anderson.  Other survivors include 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, her sister, Marie Corbin, her brothers, Donald Corbin, Charles Corbin, Dale Corbin and Richard Corbin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, and 2 grandsons.

Helen was a member of the Bible Mission Church.  She enjoyed babysitting and sewing.  She also enjoyed gardening and making homemade noodles.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

A private family visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020 followed by a public visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, only 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a given time.  Funeral home staff will enforce social distancing and monitor the number of people in the building.

A private family funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverend Perry Fouts officiating

A public graveside service will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Please follow COVID-19 guidelines and remain 6 feet apart or remain in your vehicle.
