Minh Loc Nguyen, 63, of Shelbyville, formerly from Vietnam, passed away, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his residence.  Mr. Nguyen has been a resident of Shelbyville for two years.

He was born April 20, 1958 in Vietnam, the son of Nghiem Nguyen and Sang Thi Hoang.

Mr. Nguyen retired from janitorial work after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Thuy Thanh Thi Nguyen of Indiana; his son, Vuong Minh Nguyen of Vietnam; his daughter, Ai Nhi Nu Nguyen of Vietnam; and daughter, Ana Nguyen of Indiana.

Mr. Nguyen loved to fish and watch volleyball and soccer.  He enjoyed going to daily Mass, then to morning coffee with his friends after services.

His favorite times were spent with his grandchildren and family.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway, Shelbyville, with Father Minh Duong officiating.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Mr. Nguyen's family.
