Michael A. "Mike" Nolley

September 17, 1952 — December 6, 2022

Michael Allen "Mike" Nolley, 70, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at his residence.

He was born September 17, 1952 in Shelbyville to Robert L. Nolley and Mary (Snyder) Nolley.

He attended Shelbyville High School.

He was a member of the U.S. Army in the 23rd Infantry Division "Americal" and served in Vietnam.  Mike was very patriotic and a huge supporter of the military.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.  Mike loved cars and attending car shows.

One of his greatest joys was playing Santa Claus and spreading the holiday cheer. He was also an animal lover and always wanted to rescue strays. Mike and his wife loved sailing. He also loved playing the guitar.

He never met a stranger and had a huge heart.  His family was always very important to him and his favorite times were spent with them.

He married Carol Ann (Childers) Nolley on October 2, 2002, and she survives.

Mike is also survived by his sons, Michael Nolley (wife, Nicole), Daniel Nolley (wife, Dawn), daughter, Chasity Nolley, son, Robert Nolley, daughters, Michelle Bagley, Teresa Gilbert (husband, Chet), and Jamie Frampton (husband, Chris); 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert M. Nolley (wife, Donna), sister, Ellen Grant (husband, Robert), and 8 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and cousin, Ricky Pate.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Jose Rivera officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery with military rites conducted by local veteran organizations.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Mike's family.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 4601 Forbes Blvd, suite 130, Lanham, MD 20706.
