Maxine C. (Sweet) Anderson

March 17, 1921 — September 18, 2016

Maxine C. Anderson, 95 of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Ashford Place in Shelbyville.

Born March 17, 1921, in Shelbyville, she was the wife of James Anderson, and he preceded her in death in 1978.

Surviving are sons, Kem Anderson of Shelbyville and Greg Anderson of Fountaintown; daughters, Sue Phillips-Rudicel of Shelbyville, Dianna "Mickey" Pottenger of Shelbyville and Rhea Coffman of Columbus; sister, Evelyn Proffitt of Naples Florida; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sister, Vera Roome; brothers, William Sweet and Morris Sweet; half brother, Jerry Patterson; and one grandson.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Shelby County Special Olympics, in care of Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Anderson.
