Mary M. Thorpe, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 15, 1922, to H.B. Dockery and Blanche (Wesley) Dockery in Casey County, Kentucky.

Survivors include son, William Brown and wife, Terri, of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Douglas Brown, Heather Brown, and Brittany Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Landon, Bentley, Conner and Colton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an aunt and an uncle.

Mrs. Thorpe had worked at Case Pomery in New York City, New York, for 18 years before retiring in 1985.

She attended First Christian Church in Shelbyville.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, with Rev. William Horner officiating.
