Mary Alice Ranck, 80, of Fairland, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Major Hospital.  She was born August 2, 1937 to Fred Harrison & Lillian Carpenter in Indianapolis.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Ranck of Fairland, daughters, Jenny Ranck Dooley and Dr. Vicki Burdine, both of Boggstown, 4 granddaughters, 4 great-grandchildren, and brother, Walter Harrison.

Mrs. Ranck was a homemaker who was very active in all her granddaughter's lives. She babysat for them, baked unique birthday cakes, sewed Halloween costumes, and provided transportation to all their school activities.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN.

No funeral service will be observed.
