Marvin L. Gahimer, 75, of Shelbyville, passed away April 25, 2026, at the Masonic Home in Franklin. Born January 8, 1951, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Robert and Ethel (Borton) Gahimer, who preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny and Richard Gahimer; and sisters, Diana Gahimer, Linda Gahimer, and Cheryl Mitchel. Marvin retired from Knauf Fiberglass in 2003. He enjoyed sports, music, westerns, an occasional chick flick, board games, and playing cards at the VFW Lodge 2695. He also called bingo for several years at American Legion Post #70. Although stubborn and direct, he was truly a softy at heart, deeply loving his family and friends. Private graveside services will be held with full military rites conducted by our local veteran organization.
