Marjorie L. (Lowen) Mohney

Marjorie L. (Lowen) Mohney, 90, of Shelbyville, passed away on May 14 ^th , 2019.  She was born April 13, 1929 in Deerfield, Kansas to Andrew and Irene Lowen.

Marjorie married John W. Mohney on May 4, 1947 and they would have celebrated their 72 ^nd anniversary but John preceded her in death on April 1, 2019.  They also had one son, Daniel, who passed, 1 week prior to John's passing.

Marjorie is survived by a loving family.  Her daughters, Connie (John) Phares, Kathy (William) Potter, daughter-in-law, Chris Mohney; grandchildren, Michelle (Gary) Nolley, Toby Conlon, Travis (Jennifer) Conlon, Michael (Mandi) Eaton, Benjamin (Michele) Mohney, Tasha (Neal) Danner Hevel, Tim (Amy) Mohney, Stacy Carlyle, Jennifer (Justin) Klopotek and Joseph Mohney; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as, 1 brother and 2 sisters who will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, and 4 brothers.

She was employed at Shelby County Schools, Admiral and the State of Indiana BMV.

Marjorie loved watching her family grow, camping, fishing, and sitting in the sun.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in conjunction with her late husband, John.
