Lula Pearl Collins

Lula Pearl Collins, 78, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville, IN.

She was born December 11, 1940 in Rushville, IN to Wesley Lawrence and Thelma (Mayse) Glenn.

She married Robert "Jim" Collins on October 13, 1984, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2019.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her sons, Walter (Ellen) Moore; and Larry Moore; daughters, Delva (Monty) Chapman; Deborah (Ben) Taylor; and C. Diane Riley; step-daughters, Becky (Tim) Wells; Roberta (Kyle) Dilley; Rochelle (Craig) Lindsey step-son, Kenneth Collins (Tara Burkett); 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her sister, Linda (Jimmy) Owens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 grandchildren, Audrey Moore and Rodney Riley and her brother, Chuck.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield.  She enjoyed working in the garden.  She cherished the time she spent raising her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Lori McKenzie officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.

Funeral Directors, Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Collins family.
