Survivors include six sisters: Carolyn Duncan and husband, Clarence, of Shelbyville; Betty Thurman and husband, Jack, of Edinburgh; Sandra "Charlie" Dyer-Simpkins and husband, John, of Florida; Margaret Reed and husband, Donnie, of Frankfort; Karen Wadley and husband, Butch, of Greenfield; and Connie Bunger and husband, Lee, of Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Lloyd Dyer and Melvin Adams; mother, Ethel Dyer-Adams; brothers, Floyd Dyer and Dean King; and close companion, Joyce Wilson.

Lloyd was a member of the Eagles and the Sons of the American Legion.

His favorite hobbies included fishing and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed the fellowship with the friends corner at Walmart.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Fred Troxell and Jim Stevens officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Dyer.
