Larry T. Spears

Larry T. Spears, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born February 29, 1948 in Burksville, KY to Justice Spears and Lela (Pruitt) Spears.

He married Mary A. (Weddle) Spears on May 8, 1976, and she survives.

Other survives include his son Larry G. Spears of Shelbyville, Larry Spears, Jr., daughter, Nancy Spears, son, Tommy McCool, daughter, Carman, all of Indianapolis, son, Bobby Roberts, Jr. of Shelbyville, step-children, Patricia Roberts of Somerset, KY,, Bobby Joe Roberts of Columbus, IN., 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Lyle Spears, Johnny Spears, Danny Spears, Curtis Spears, Joe Spears, and Jackie Spears, all of Burksville, KY., and sister, Diane Spears of Detroit, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters.

Larry attended McKay Road Baptist Church.

He was a mechanic.  Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the funeral home with Robert Prather officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.
