Larry D. Cecil, 73, of Waldron, passed away Thursday August, 17, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born September 8, 1949 in Fountaintown, IN. to Ellsworth Cecil and Cordelia (Helton) Cecil.                      Mr. Cecil was the youngest of 13 children.

He attended Triton Central High School.

Larry worked at 4-D Electric & Supply and Drakes Electric Supply for 37 years before retiring. He had a love for karaoke and he was commonly known as the local Elvis.  He was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed collecting all types of Elvis memorabilia.  Larry would sing or perform for anyone who requested.

He married Sue (Rouse) Cecil and she survives.

Larry is also survived by his daughter, Tina (husband, Randy) Cecil-VanSchoyck; granddaughter, Tristen Ellis; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Ryan Scott Cecil; 9 sisters; 3 brothers; a niece and a nephew.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery directly following the visitation.
