Kenneth Gene Burton, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born Sept. 6, 1941, to Ester Burton and Jewell (Holt) Burton in London, Ky. Survivors include five daughters, Renee Palmer of Waldron, Sharon West of Spencer, Jewell Martini of Brookville, Lora Bumner of Anderson and Christy Glover of Shelbyville; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Aulby of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jerry Burton. Mr. Burton had worked for Cave Stone as a truck driver for 25 years and for the last five years he worked as an auto driver for Hubler. Mr. Burton loved drag racing and outdoor sports. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with Robert Simpson officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
