Julie Anne Hankins's Obituary

Julie Anne Hankins, 60, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Major Hospital. She was born Oct. 19, 1952 to Kenneth Eugene Hankins and Virginia (Glover) Hankins in Rushville. Ms. Hankins was a librarian at Shelby County Public Library. Reading was her favorite pastime and she always loved sharing good humor with her sisters. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Hankins, father, Kenneth E. (wife, Patricia) Hankins; three sisters, Pam (husband, Jimmy) Oliver of Shelbyville, Gina (husband, Steve) Hammons of Morristown and Cindy Harley of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Kenneth M. Hankins and Kelly James Hankins, both of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Hankins. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Julie's honor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association National Headquarters, 3300 E. Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718. Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J.
