Judith Ann Hendricks, 70, of Shelbyville, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born Jan. 30, 1938, in Marion County, she was the daughter of George Winkler and Ruth (Hoppes) Coy. She married Stephan Russell Hendricks on June 3, 1956, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1998. Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (husband, Tom) Carpenter and Doris (husband, Neal) Johnson, both of Shelbyville; son, Scott Hendricks of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Jonathon Carpenter, Heather (husband, Ronald) McCullum, Anthony Shaw and Sarjenka Hendricks; and great-grandchildren, Hagen Shaw and Trey McCullum. She also was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Winkler. Mrs. Hendricks was a switchboard operator for W.S. Major Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and past member of Job's Daughters. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m., Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m Saturday at the funeral home, with Gill Whitten officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
