Joyce (Popplewell) Wilson

Joyce Wilson, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at Major Hospital. She was born July 14, 1945, to Herbert Popplewell and Irene (Latham) Popplewell in St. Helens, England. She was the wife of the late Roy Wilson, who passed away Nov. 26, 2005. Lloyd Wayne Dyer had been her very close companion since 2007. Survivors include sons, David Turner and wife, Brenda, and Scott Turner, both of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Ms. Wilson attended DaySprings Community Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She had a love for traveling and shopping. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Ms. Wilson.
