Joyce Adell Watson, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday April 3, 2022 at her residence.

She was born July 20, 1953 in Huntington, Tennessee, to Thomas Burnine and Lessie (Beal) Moore.

Joyce was a graduate of Shelbyville High School.

She was employed at Knauf as a packer for over 30 years, before retiring in 2014.

She was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church.

One of her favorite pastimes was working out in the yard with her late husband, David. They always took great pride in their home. She enjoyed going to church and being involved in church functions. She loved spending time with her family and loved ones.

She married David Watson on June 1, 1985 and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2020.

She is survived by daughter, Kelly Eads (Adam), brothers, Kenneth Burnine, Ronnie Burnine (Teresa), Dennis Burnine, and Roddy Moore (Sue), sister, Jean Sullivan, her bonus daughter. Carrie Browning, her beloved dog, Callie, along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, step-dad Richard Moore who raised her, sister, Margaret Burnine, and brother, Donnie Burnine, sisters-in-law Carla and Sally Burnine.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4-8 pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will be on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10 am at the funeral home with Pastor George Mitchell officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.
