Joyce Marie (Rosentreter) Goodpaster

Joyce Marie Goodpaster, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Heritage House of Shelbyville.

Born, June 14, 1938 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of John Paul and Ida Mae (Hansen) Rosentreter.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Tony) Mohr of Shelbyville, son, James (Marianne) Newman of Sylvania, OH., 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Goodpaster was preceded in death by her parents 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and daughter, Wanda Newman.

She attended services at Hope's Point Baptist Church.  She enjoyed playing bingo, doing arts and crafts and reading.  Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

The Family extends a special "Thank you" to the staff at Heritage House for the care given to Mrs. Goodpaster.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street.  Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.
