John Allen Kinder, 54, of Shelbyville, passed away at his residence. He was born Jan. 14, 1959, to John A. Kinder and Nellie J. (Dietz) Kinder in Decatur, Ill. Survivors include his parents of Elliott, Ill.; sister, Phyllis Griffith of Aurora, Colo.; and brother, Steven Kinder of St. Charles, Ill. Mr. Kinder was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a resident of Shelbyville for many years. He was an inventory/purchasing specialist at VIT Industries prior to the plant closing. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Elliot, Ill. Local arrangements are being handled by Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
