John A. Jordan's Obituary

John Jordan 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at his residence.

He was born April 22, 1945, in Shelbyville to James Jordan and Virginia (Swineherd) Jordan.

Survivors include his son, Michael (Kim) Jordan; daughter, Vicky (Greg) Wells; half-brother, David Jordan; and half-sister, Judy Crafton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James E. Jordan.

He graduated in 1964 from Shelbyville High School.

John served for 20 years in the Indiana National Guard. He worked at Wellman's for several years.

He was a former member of the Shelby Shifters. John was a current member of the "Burger King Coffee Club," where he enjoyed spending time with his buddies everyday.

He was a hard-working man and in the last few years he was enjoying retirement and his grandpups.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana (46176).

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Brandon Sutton officiating. Military rites will be conducted by local veterans organizations.

Funeral directors Greg Parks, Sheila Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to serve John's family.

Memorial contributions may be given to a veterans organization of the donor's choice.
