John "Sean" Fitzgerald Lapinski

John "Sean" Fitzgerald Lapinski, 54, of Shelbyville met Jesus face to face on Good Friday, March 30, 2018 at his residence,

He was born in Rush County on June 20, 1963.  He graduated high school in 1981 from North Decatur in Decatur County.

He served in both the Marine Corp and Army National Guard.  He received his Associates in Organizational Leadership from Purdue.  He was employed by Pilkington/NSG.

He was preceded in death by both of his adoptive parents, Al and Ann (Cullen) Lapinski, as well as his 1 ^st wife, Stella (Huff) Lapinski.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa (Wilbanks) Lapinski of Shelbyville; children, Thomas Lapinski of Shelbyville, Shannon (Lapinski) Clouse and husband, Joe, of Arlington; Krysten Lapinski of Shelbyville, and Cameron Kirkwood of Richland; grandchildren, Mason and Noah Clouse of Arlington; biological mother, Betty (McGowan) Landis of Kokomo, sister, Linda (Lapinski) Holstein and husband, Bill, of Columbus; brother, Bill Cone and wife, Susan (Carpenter) Cone, of Kokomo.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Shelbyville Community Church with service to begin at 5 p.m.
