John W. Chappelow

John W. Chappelow, 65, of Greensburg died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born March 29, 1944, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Robert and Lucille Mae (Scroggham) Chappelow. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Brenda Chappelow of Shelbyville; nephew, Kevin J. Chappelow; and cousins, Art Ziegler, Gary Ziegler, Clyde Whitehead and Ruby Sinclair. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charlie Chappelow. Mr. Chappelow had been a general laborer for the City of Shelbyville. He attended Bible Holiness Church. Mr. Chappelow loved puzzles and books. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Smith officiating. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery in Shelby County.
