Joanna Dobbs

Joanna Rose Dobbs 78, of Indianapolis, passed away July 19, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.

She was born June 10th, 1942 in Clinton, NY to Grace and Joseph Gigliotti.

Joanna is survived by her children, Mathew Szczerba & wife Jill of Canastota NY, Reggie Wilkins & husband Jim of Shelbyville, Indiana, Errin McKinney & wife Robyn of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joe Atkinson of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Kim Tucker Edinburg Indiana, her brother, Jim Gigliotti & wife, Dee of Clinton, NY; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Grace and Joseph Gigliotti, her son Daniel Tucker, and her daughter Debbie Atkinson.

Joanna worked at Noble Romans until she retired.

She was an independent woman who raised her children mostly on her own, all with the same independent spirit that she maintained.

Joanna was a rebel until her last day and will be loved and missed by any and all who were lucky enough to have been able to spend time with her.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.
