Janet M. Megerle, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Miller's Merry Manor.

She was born January 20, 1945, in Shelbyville, to George A. and Leona A. (Brown) Megerle.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Cossandra Megerle of Shelbyville; son, Dominique L. Davis of Indianapolis; brother, Felix Megerle of Columbus; grandchildren, Danyel (Barry) Comstock; Yama (Mike) Walton; Troy (fiancé, Emily Herriott) Megerle; Donovan (Miranda) Megerle; Dominique L. Davis; Dominique R. Davis; Destiny Lynn Davis; and Dessiraye Lynda Jones; 4 great-grandchildren and expecting a 5 ^th great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 6 siblings.

Janet enjoyed playing cards, solving corssword puzzles, skating and bowling.  She was always willing to help anyone in need.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tony Lambert officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
