James H. Wolfe

James H. Wolfe, 51, of Fairland died Monday, March 2, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers in Indianapolis. Born Nov. 27, 1957, in LaPorte, he was the son of Paul and Sarah (Betz) Wolfe. He married Trudi Pinnick on May 12, 1979, and she survives. Other survivors include his father; children, Mark Wolfe and Noel Wolfe, both of Fairland; sister, Rachel Anderson of LaPorte; brothers, David Wolfe of LaPorte and Samuel Wolfe of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Daniel Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe was a graphic designer with CRE Inc. in Indianapolis for 18 years and then a mail carrier for New Palestine and Fairland until his illness. He graduated from Vincennes University in 1978 and Indiana State University in 1993, with a major in graphic art. Mr. Wolfe was a member of Acton United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. He was an avid Colts and Purdue Boilermaker fan. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Acton United Methodist Church, 5650 Senour Road, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with Pastor Vicki Hobbs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
