Obituary

James “Jim” Alan Crone, 62, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at his residence. He was born May 17, 1964, in Multnomah Falls, Oregon, to Quinton and Jean (Puckett) Crone. 

Jim graduated from White River High School in Buckley, Washington, with the Class of 1984. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Jim was very patriotic and was proud of his military service.

Jim married Rayna Shay Percivill on February 14, 1994, and she survives. He was an ordained minister in both Washington and Indiana. Jim worked in the restaurant industry for many years, serving as a manager at various restaurants.

Jim was an avid video gamer and movie enthusiast. He also enjoyed collecting knives and swords. A sports fan, he especially enjoyed cheering for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. Jim had a good heart and loved caring for and entertaining children by making them laugh.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Crystal Dawn, Sunshine Marie, and April Mae; sons, Kody Logen and Joshua McDonald; grandchildren, Kaydence, Ryan, Jayda, Julian, Kain, Kross, and Koal; brothers, Quinton C. Crone Jr., and Lawrence E. Crone as well as his sister, Kimberlee D. Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Tammy L. Crone; brother-in-law, Mark Smith; and significant other, Patty McDonald.

Funeral Directors Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Jim’s family.
