Helen L. (Shaw) Allsup, 60, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at her residence in New Castle.

She was born May 10, 1958 in Franklin, IN to Kenneth and Agatha (Douglas) Shaw.

She married Rob Allsup and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2017.

Helen is survived by her daughter, April Jacobs (Matthew Patterson); son, Brandon Jacobs; grandchild, Jenny Patterson; sisters, Sheila (Lloyd) Kemble; Mary Callahan (Brian); and Sandra Kaster, (Jeff); brother, Lincoln Shaw; sister, Allison Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Helen graduated from Waldron High School in 1976.  She loved to play bingo, watch movies and drink coffee.

Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Lloyd Kemble officiating.

Burial will be in Lewis Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Helen Allsup Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
