Hazel Mann

Hazel Mann, 95, of Edinburgh died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Waldron Health & Rehabilitation Center in Waldron. Born Mar. 26, 1912, in Marion County, Ky., she was the daughter of Marion and Mary (Sapp) Smothers. She married Clinton S. Mann in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1977. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara (husband, Carl) Helfrich of Colorado and Sharon (husband, Robert) Arbckle fo Edinburgh; sons, Marion (wife, Theresa) Mann of Flat Rock and Paul Mann of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Shirley (husband, Earl) Theobald and Pearl (husband, Frank) Green both of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, David Mann; three brothers; two sisters; and grandson, Bradley Shutt. Mrs. Mann was a homemaker. She was a member of Flat Rock Christan Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Plantz officiating. Burial will be in Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock.
