Harry W. Winton
Former Shelbyville resident, Harry W. Winton, 77, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at a nursing home in Haines City, Florida. Mr. Winton was born March 31, 1937, in Greensburg. He was the son of Omer and Clarabelle Winton. He graduated from Manilla High School in 1955, and married Sharon Lusk on Oct. 5, 1956. She survives .
He worked as an accountant at Ford Motor Company for approximately 30 years and retired in 1987. He also trained and raced harness racing horses during this time. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Florida where he enjoyed golf and fishing.
Sharon and Harry had two sons, Terry and Barry. Terry is a commercial Realtor in Indianapolis, and Barry is a cardiovascular surgeon in Florida. He also has three grandchildren, Jessica, Shelby and Jansen Winton. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Murphy Parks Funeral Home, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
The funeral service will follow at noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville following the funeral service.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Winton.
