Harry Leland Davis

Harry Leland Davis, 76, of Flat Rock died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at his home. Born Aug. 23, 1931, in Jennings County, he was the son of Harry E. and Nellie (Gilliland) Davis. He married Louise Cash on July 22, 1950, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Rosanna Davis of California; sons, Dennis A. Davis of Greensburg, Harry L. Davis of Alabama and Joel D. Davis of California; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Mr. Davis had been a truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephen Holland officiating. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
