Harold Lee Bowers

Harold Lee Bowers, 81, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Heritage House of Shelbyville.

He was born January 7, 1933, to Leon and Hazel (Downman) Crafton in Trumann, Ark. He married Barbara S. Tucker on May 31, 1952, who preceded him in death on August 12, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip Bowers of Shelbyville and Jerry Bowers of Ohio; daughter, Judy Siefert of Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and his mother; by one brother and three sisters and by twin daughters, Wanda Sue and Donna Sue Bowers.

Harold served the Army during the Korean War and was employed Bryant-Roth Furniture Store from 1955-1974 and at W.S Major Hospital from 1974 until his retirement in 1993.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory at 703 S. Harrison Street in Shelbyville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 8,2014, and will also be at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, with Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in the Bennett Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Park and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Bowers.
