Gordon A. Hill, 65, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at Community South Hospital.

He was born August 11, 1960, in Shelbyville, IN to Jack Hill and Patricia (Jackson) Hill.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he demonstrated the honor and dedication that remained with him throughout his life. Following his military service, Gordon became a highly skilled craftsman. Whether building, reframing or creating, he was known for his remarkable workmanship and his ability to fix nearly anything. When he wasn’t working, Gordon found his greatest peace outdoors especially while fishing. Time spent on the water brought him joy. He also had a passion for riding his Harley, which brought him a sense of freedom and adventures that reflected his independent spirit. He was a member of Carpenters union.

He is survived by his brother, Bruce Hill; his companion, Kimberly K. Coffey and his dog, Mouse.

A Graveside Service is be Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Winchester Cemetery, in Shelby County, with military rites conducted by our local veteran organizations.
