Gilmer Clyburn
January 31, 1941 — November 13, 2017
Gilmer Clyburn, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. Gilmer was born in Harper West Virginia on January 31, 1941. He lived the last several years of his life in Shelbyville Indiana where his niece Patti Bailey cared for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Iva and Joseph Clyburn two sisters and ten brothers. He is survived by daughter Charlotte Backfish and three grandsons Josh, Tim and Jeff Backfish. He is also survived by three nieces Patti Bailey, Sharon Malone and Marie Pendleton and one nephew Steve Taylor and several great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in both Indiana and in West Virginia.
