Geraldine Joan Fix, 89, of Shelbyville, passed away, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at MHP Medical Center.

She was born June 7, 1929, in Shelby County, to Herbert and Beatrice (Winton) Walton.  She married Jack K. Fix on October 28, 1951 and he survives.

She is also survived by her daughter, Debra A. (Terry) Johnson of Columbus; son, Bradley E. (Connie) Fix of Shelbyville; daughter, Lucinda J. (Mark) Marrieta of Rockville; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister, Vicki L. Camden of New Whiteland, sister-in-law, Barbara Walton of Bradenton, FL., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Jacqueline June LeClerc, brothers, Denzil Walton, Dorcil Walton, sister-in-law, Martha Walton, brothers-in-law, Steve Camden and Ray LeClerc.

She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1947.

Mrs. Fix was a lifetime member and past president of Omega Nu Tau Sorority and a member of NARFE, where she served as the local chapter secretary.  She always treasured her traveling excursions throughout the years.  She enjoyed Family Birthday Club, 21 years of Mother/Daughter weekends away and spending time with her family.  She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone prior to a 28 year career and retirement in civil service from Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Randy Worland officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
