Gerald Wayne Jessup

Gerald Wayne Jessup, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away, Monday, April 30, 2018 at Heritage House.

He was born July 22, 1944 in Shelbyville, to Stewart and Mary Ruth (Roan) Jessup.

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Edward) M. Hurley; brothers, Mike (Sherrie) Jessup and Mark (Benita) Jessup all of Shelbyville; and six nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Jones, and his son, Gary Wayne Jessup.

He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville.

Mr. Jessup retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to Noon on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home with Reverend Andy Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville.
