George T. Lambert Jr

George T. Lambert Jr., 87, died Sunday, Sept. 5, at Waldron HealthCare, Waldron. He was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Shelbyville to George T. Lambert Sr. and Kathryn (Featherstone) Lambert. He married Ethel L. Bullard on April 30, 1943, and she preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hartleroad, Kokomo; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Jack Lambert, Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and a daughter, Carolyn Spencer. Mr. Lambert was employed at WSVL local radio station until his retirement. He was then a greeter at Wal-Mart for several years. He was a board member for the Bears of Blue River Festival, SCUFFY and Shelbyville Central Schools. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
