Gary Lee Woods, 72, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026, at his residence. He was born December 15, 1953, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Chester and Elsie (Mullins) Woods.

Gary was employed as a general contractor in the construction industry for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post 70, where he enjoyed socializing and spending time with his close friends.

Gary is survived by his son, Stuart (Allison) Woods; daughter, Ashley (Mark) McCullough; six grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Gary is also survived by his special friend, Kim Cregar. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Woods; and brother, Michael Woods.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 70, 1125 Miller Ave., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
