Gary L. Wilson

Gary L. Wilson, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.

He was born July 30, 1954, in Russell Springs, KY to William L. Wilson and Orita (Malone) Wilson.

Gary graduated from Triton Central High School with the Class of 1972.  He went onto work in construction and was employed with Global Constructors for over 20 years before retiring.  He was artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting.  He was also a talented guitar player and played in several   bands on stage.  Gary had a love for music and would often listen to loud music all night long.  He also had a love for cars and enjoyed drag racing and attending car shows.  Gary didn't know a stranger and was a friend to all.

He is survived by his sons, Justin Wilson, Joseph Wilson and Josh Wilson; his bothers, Steve (wife, Kathy) Wilson and Jeff Wilson and his special friend, Leona Craig.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother of his children, Mary L. Wilson.

A Gathering of Friends will be Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN  46176.
