Freida K Ballard

Freida K. Ballard, 51, of Waldron died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center. Born March 12, 1958, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Charles Edward and Martha (Bohman) Taylor. Survivors include her mother of Shelbyville; daughters, Cindy Tucker and Freida Lynn Tucker, both of Shelbyville; son, Dennis Tucker of Shelbyville; brothers, Bill Davis of Shelbyville and Martin Taylor of California; sisters, Barbara Bell and Irene Hammrick, both of California, and Anna Pursley of Shelbyville; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Ms. Ballard had been employed in factory janitorial service and as an animal caregiver. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at noon on Friday at the funeral home, with Father Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
