Frances M. Adams, 65, of Waldron, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Community Hospital South.
She was born April 14, 1960, in Shelbyville, IN to Henry Coots and Linda (Bartlett) Lucas.
Franny attended Waldron High School. She worked at Walmart as a Pharmacy Technician for over 25 years before retiring. Her dedication and attention to detail even earned her “Pharmacy Tech of the Year” from Walmart at one point. She was a member of Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church. She had a love for cooking, antiques, and gardening. Franny was an avid reader and a coffee enthusiast. She cherished her time and memories made traveling to Hawaii. Her most cherished times were spent with her family and loved ones.
She married Gerry Adams on April 24, 2007, and he survives. They shared 19 loving years of marriage together.
She is also survived by her mother; daughters, Jamie (husband, Danny) Marcum, Hannah (husband, T.J.) Schooley and Katelynn Oliver; step-daughter, Nikki (husband, Andy) Eads; step-son, Nathan (Erica) Adams; grandchildren; Tristan Marcum, Brock Schooley, Jordan Marcum, Abigail Adams, Kody Sellers and Emmaline Adams; sisters, Valarie Wells and Jill Coots; niece, Lyndsey (husband, Brayden) Coffey and nephew, Tyler Dunn.
She was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Wesley Lucas and son-in-law, Patrick Ellis.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Perry Fouts officiating.
Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery in Shelby Co.
Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Franny’s family.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Frances to Shelby County Library, 57 W. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
