Florene G. Miller, 97, a former Shelbyville resident, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at her daughter's residence in Franklin, Tenn. Born Dec. 29, 1913, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Carl C. and Goldie (Fagel) Cotton. She married Howard E. Miller on Aug. 14, 1950, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1991. Survivors include daughter, Christy Whitehurst of Franklin, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Rodney Berger of Franklin, Tenn., and Bridget Bergerof New York, N.Y. No public services are planned. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby Senior Services Inc., 1504 S.
