Eva May Mckelvey

Eva May McKelvey, 85, of St. Paul died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at her home. Born Nov. 19, 1923, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Bedwell. She married Jacob McKelvey, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, James R. Smith of St. Paul; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Mrs. McKelvey was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David F. Humphrey officiating. Graveside services will be in Westport Cemetery at a later date.
