Eileen H. (Goodman) Rush

January 17, 1947 — April 5, 2012

Eillen H. Rush, 85, of Shelbyville died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Major Hospital.  Born Jan. 17, 1927, in Akron Ohio, she was the daughter of the Reverend  Gordon and Ethel (Gagnon) Goodman.  She married Paul Rush on September 12, 1047, and he passed away on September 12, 1998.

Survivors include  daughter Milly Engle of Shelbyville; sons Danny Rush of Union Ohio, and Larry Rush of Palm Springs, CA.; sisters, Lois Cripe and Shirley Prittipo, both of Greensburg, Sharon Bennard of Indianapolis,  Linda Solomon of Anderson, Beverly Boxell of Warren and Vyda Limpus of Flat Rock;  brother Jack Goodman of Jeffersonville;  six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rush was a cook for 10 years at Flat Rock elementary school.  Eileen was a avid Indiana pacers fan and always enjoyed her yearly trip to Brown County with her siblings.  You could always count on seeing her working her crossword puzzles in her leisure time..

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service   Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Reverend Edwin Mohr officiating.  Burial will be in the Pleasant grove Cemetery in Norristown.  Memorials maybe given to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
