Edward W. Miller, 85, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at MHP Medical Center.
He was born August 7, 1936 in Indianapolis to Howard L. and Edith L. (Claffey) Miller.
He graduated in 1955 from Howe High School in Indianapolis.
Ed was a firefighter for over 44 years in Indianapolis. Ed was a member of the Fire Fighters Retiree Club of Indianapolis.
He loved to go fishing and always enjoyed being outdoors, especially when he was younger. Ed was very witty and enjoyed poking fun at the people around him.
He married Gloria J. Baker on December 5, 1958, and she survives.
Ed is also survived by his son, Bill Miller, his grandson, Christian Miller, his nieces, Jan Shoultz (Steve), Robin Brown, Jackie Miller (Jim), Joyce Miller, and Judy Mullin (Mike).
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
