Edith "Pat" Hopper

Edith 'Pat' Hopper, 89 of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Morristown Manor.

She was born December 13, 1931 in Henshaw, KY to the late Hubert Willis Mitchell and Leona (O'Brien) Mitchell.

Pat was employed at Mr. T's grocery store and was a lifelong homemaker.

She enjoyed fishing and cooking as well as taking care of others in any way possible.

Pat is survived by her daughters: Janet (David) Thurman of Fairland, Debra (Ronald) Bryant of Milltown, KY, Betty Williamson of Temple, TX, sons; Bud Hopper of Fairland, James (Rebecca) Hopper of Plainfield, and son-in-law Terry Fitz of Shelbyville.  She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren, brother, Billie Mitchell, sisters; Elouise Matthias and Gert Devine. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Fitz, daughter-in-law Jody Hopper, son-in-law, Ken Williamson, sister, Mary Minardo and grandson, Eddie Yeley.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 1PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat's memory to the charity of your choice.
