Earl Dean Russell

Earl Dean Russell, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at MHP Medical Center.

He was born April 14, 1938 in Russell Springs, KY to Earl Russell and Beulah (Wilders) Russell.

He married Carol Sue Carnes on April 18, 1999, and she survives. Earl is also survived by his son, Rick (Missinda) Russell of Muncie; his daughter, Jeanie Mohr of Waldron; his grandsons, Cody (Katie) Russell of Rush County and Lt. Jarrett Mohr of Baymholcher, Germany, (significant other, Lt. Monique Moussa of Colorado); his step-children, Debbie (James) Jagger; Jeff Carnes, Tony Carnes and Sherry Gibbson; his step-grandchildren, Dustin Handley, Chad Jagger, Brandon Jagger, Jessica Jagger, Kyle Carnes, Joey Carnes and Brandon Carnes.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Kelly Russell.

Earl was a U. S. Army veteran. He worked at Wellman Industries.  Earl was an avid sports participant.  He enjoyed coaching his children's sports activities.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
